USP Truggers

USP Truggers is an interest group for anyone who wants to play touch rugby. Many of us joined for the cardiovascular benefits of sprinting up and down the field, but stayed for the thrill of scoring a try as a team, successfully defending against the opposing team, and the feeling of being part of something bigger than oneself. We have a healthy mix of people with different experience levels, from absolute beginners to school team players, because we believe anyone can play touch rugby.

IG Activities

We train once a week at Town Green, with extra sessions depending on take-up. Sometimes we train at the Science field, which occurs more often during combined trainings with other RCs.

Key Events

USP Truggers participates in the annual Inter-Faculty Games (IFG) and Inter-College Games (ICG).

Commitment Levels

Commitment is on a come-when-you-can basis. Players participating in competitions are expected to attend trainings regularly, for the purposes of team chemistry and tactics.
