House Lore
Legend has it that, in the ancient land of Sarkany, wars waged between man and dragon. Of all dragons, Sarenites were the most feared by mankind. These dragons dwelled high up on the mountains of Narancs – terrain thought to harbour great treasures of gold and ore.
Many an attempt by man to conquer Sarenites territory has ended in bloodshed, and a reverberating reverence for these majestic creatures. For even in the most brutal of battles, Sarenites are fiercely loyal to each other. They never abandon another in need, and share even in the harshest conditions. The wars – they never really ended because neither side won. Dragon-hunters simply relegated their positions. Sarenites, they said, are highly inquisitive. They learn immensely fast and outwit their enemies. It is their sharp intuition that has allowed them to survive centuries of warfare and emerge as the elite breed of dragons.
But Sarenites are the kings of Narancs for they fear nothing. Their streak of fearlessness surfaces not only when they are challenged but in fact, one that drives them to be always on the lookout for adventure. Sarenites are unfazed by the future; they dare.

House Events
Saren's house events usually span across the entire academic year (including summer break), with Mid-Autumn Festival, SCAREN, and SAR1101 being its flagship house events. Based on their direction of the house, the serving house committee decides on the remaining events, often introducing their own initiatives during their respective tenures.
SCAREN
SCAREN usually takes places during the two weeks leading up to Halloween, where participating Sarenites take part in a spirited exchange of pranks that truly test the limits of their creative capacities. During SCAREN, each participant will play the roles of both Reaper and Reapee.
As Reapers, they are free to target their assigned Reapees with pranks during the entirety of SCAREN. However, they must respect what type of pranks Reapees are uncomfortable with, as well as their chosen prank level. All participants of SCAREN can choose from four levels of pranks: Level 0, Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.
